Recipe: Moo Shu Pork
Book: The Best 30-Minute Recipe
Needs: A touch more pork
Notes: A few things in our refrigerator had been there a few days from a missed recipe last week - pork loin, carrots, cabbage, and bean sprouts. I just happened to pick up some hoison sauce as well. Asian food it is!
The recipe calls for leftover pork and shredded cabbage. Those two are a must to keep this under 30 minutes. I thinly sliced some pork loin and pan fried it. Typical Moo Shu pork is served in a thin pancake or wrap, but we opted for rice instead. The carrots and bean sprouts were optional. My love of mung beans is pretty high after visiting Vietnam. Here's a couple of pictures from a mung bean 'farm.'
