A goal of mine is to cook every recipe in America's Test Kitchen Quick Family Cookbook. Tonight my wife and I cooked Gemelli with Caramelized Onions, Kale, and Bacon
Notes: My biggest beef with ATK's Quick Family Cookbook is the instructions always start with preheating the oven or boiling water. It then moves on to 15-30 minutes worth of chopping, dicing, and sorting. Our new gas stove heats the water quickly and I have 15+ minutes of boiling water before I'm ready to use it.
With my gripe out of the way, this recipe was great. We did 1.5x to have enough for leftovers by including extra whole wheat pasta, bacon, garlic, and cheese. I ran out of freshly grated Parmesan, so I mixed in grated fontina.
