Cod quality in central Illinois is lacking. I had to triple bag the cod from Meijer home to keep it from stinking up the car and fridge. After frying and adding sauce, I couldn't tell its quality anymore. Next time we might try frozen to save a few dollars. Maybe I just don't eat enough seafood and cod always stinks. Cleanup after this recipe took me back to my 2 days working at Weathervane in Saratoga Springs - yikes! Just thinking about that place makes me never want to eat a chain restaurant again.
